Updated policy scenarios until 2050
Improved understanding of how each beneficiary country can develop in the long-term in a manner consistent with the temperature goal of the Paris Agreement
Analysis of policy questions in national transitions
Improved understanding of short-term measures that can bend GHG emissions towards Paris-compatible pathways & sectoral, economic and social aspects of the climate transition and how to avoid or manage trade-offs while achieving co-benefits
Strengthening model - policy interaction
Enhanced capacity of experts and policymakers to understand how model-related insights can inform key policy questions for low emissions transition and how to ensure that modelling is policy relevant
Developing model capacity in Asian partner countries
Strengthened modelling capacity and network within target countries and greater engagement with international networks of modellers for more widespread modelling skills and experience of how to use modelling for policy formulation to feed into and support ambitious national and global climate action going forward
