I ELEVATE International Stakeholder Workshop
8 June, 2023 | 13:00 - 18:00 (CEST)
Bonn Marriott Hotel, Bonn, Germany
This workshop was the first in a series of co-creation workshops planned by the ELEVATE project. In the search of possible ways to meet the Paris Agreement’s goals, the interaction between science and policymakers is critical. The ELEVATE project has researchers from many countries worldwide looking into emission reduction pathways, just transitions and international cooperation. The aim is to set up an informal forum with policymakers worldwide to exchange novel ideas and co-design a new generation of net-zero pathways.
The event was be held adjacent to the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA 58), aiming at informing the policy discussions on the last Technical Dialogue under the Global Stocktake and the emerging Just Transition work programme in the UNFCCC sessions.
With this series of workshops, ELEVATE aims at establishing the Global Forum to ELEVATE Climate Ambitions. The purpose of the Forum is to provide a continuous dialogue on policies and pathways to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, enabling international cooperation and mutual learning between diverse stakeholders.
